The food here is very delicious (especially the fisherman soup) and very affordable too. The transportation is cheap, and the people are very welcoming. If I’m given a choice to live elsewhere from where I currently live, Uyo would be a top contender.
It doesn’t matter the length of the trip – be it a short weekend visit to a friend in Kenya, or a three week vacation in a beach resort in Lagos – you’ll need to pack a bag, and when it comes to traveling to and within African countries, the packing requires a little bit of attention.
One day, I made up my mind, I packed my bag, left my city and started a solo trip across my country with just enough money to board a bus to my first destination. And after traveling across many states, with little or no cash, I realized that traveling is less about money and more about the heart. All you need is a little bit of courage to make the first step, the rest almost always falls in place.
